We here at The Woman's Newspapers™ hope that
this resource guide is informative, helpful and something you can share with
those you love. It's important for everyone to know more about early
detection and what to do, if you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with
breast cancer.

The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
is a program launched in the U.S. in 1993 by Avon Products, Inc.,
to raise funds and awareness for the breast cancer cause. Money
that is raised by the Crusade is distributed through the Avon Foundation
for medical research, patient care, support services, education
and early detection of breast cancer. A special emphasis is placed
on helping medically underserved women; including low-income, elderly
and minority women, and women without adequate health insurance.
What is the Avon Foundation?
The Avon Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1955
with the mission to improve the lives of women and their families.
The Foundation supports organizations and programs that provide
girls, women and their families with economic opportunity and physical
and emotional well-being.
Funds raised by the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade are managed and disbursed
by the Foundation to fund access to care and finding a cure for
breast cancer.
The Crusade raises money through the sale of pink ribbon products
by our dedicated Avon Sales Representatives nationwide. Call your
local Avon Sales Representative or
1-800-FOR-AVON or visit
www.avoncrusade.com to purchase
these products.
The Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day is a national series of 60-mile fund-raising
walks. Each is a 3-day journey with 3,000 women and men raising
money and awareness for the cause.
Visit www.avoncrusade.com
or call 1-800-825-1000. Due to their popularity, be aware
that many walks close months ahead of the actual event date.
